Why am I stuck as a Wing employee?
Check that the resident is a clerk or researcher, has reached the next milestone age, and completed the previous Wing chapter. Current chapter rules do not require a reputation or attribute score.
Project Moonlife / GAMEPLAY GUIDE
To enter Wing management in Project Moonlife, choose the clerk or researcher career at the adult career milestone. The route has eight one-time chapters from age 21 to 55; each later chapter requires the previous rank.
The route events list company clerks and researchers as eligible careers. The career choice occurs at age 18 in the current rules. Fixers enter the office route, while artisans enter the independent workshop route. Choosing a different adult career does not unlock Wing management later; a new life can explore another path.
The Wing track has eight milestone events scheduled at ages 21, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 and 55. They are one-time major events. If a milestone is missed because its requirements are not met, the engine can offer it in a later eligible step up to age 64. The event record advances route progress only when you choose one of its route options; leaving the track stops later chapters.
The data requires an eligible career, the chapter age window and the previous Wing rank. The next rank is not unlocked merely by accumulating reputation or a particular attribute: the current Wing chapter data has no health, sanity, wealth, connections or reputation threshold. When the event appears, its choices include a target-focused option and a staff-protection option, with different attribute effects and risk.
Confirm that the resident is a clerk or researcher, then compare age and current Wing progress with the chapter list. The player now surfaces the next chapter age and missing previous rank from the event requirements. If the resident left the route, chapter events stop; the game does not silently restore the path. The rules do not describe a separate named Wing executive promotion ladder beyond these eight chapters.
Before a milestone age, confirm that the current career is Employee or Researcher and check the previous Wing rank shown in the career panel. The next chapter is not unlocked by reputation alone: the current event requirements use career, age, and the preceding rank. If a chapter is not offered at its first age because a prerequisite is missing, the event can still appear later when its conditions are met, up to age 64. This gives you time to qualify, but not a separate executive ladder.
Meeting the route requirements makes an event eligible; it does not force a promotion outcome. When the chapter appears, read the effects and risks of each option before selecting the route choice. Choosing the Wing path advances its recorded rank, while leaving the path stops later chapters from continuing automatically. If you deliberately want to compare another career, start a new life and record its seed and rules version so that the comparison stays clear. After each chapter, use the route panel to verify recorded progress and separate a missing prerequisite from a deliberate choice to leave. Reaching the listed age alone does not advance the rank; the route option must be selected when the event appears.

The eight chapter ages are 21, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, and 55. Eligible events can still be offered up to age 64 when prerequisites are met.
No reputation threshold is present in the current Wing chapter requirements. Eligibility comes from career, age, and previous route rank.
